Nice. I really like the relationship between Giaan and Julian. You can tell they really care for each other just from this snippet, which was great! I loved the descriptions and could see everything clearly.
The last paragraph was just awesome, and the last sentence so perfect. Your detailing always floors me and, I've said this a million times, I just want to hug Giaan because he's so adorably shy.
And you wrote bloke in my comments, which made me smile for the rest of the day :)
This is a really, really nice scene. It's so good that he has an adult-figure he can connect with since he's uncle is so awful. And really, it's always nice to find an adult like that who you're not related to. Very easy to relate to, and very poignant scene. Loved it, duh :D
